Mini bottle of red wine Coronas Crianza 2019 has been developed with a slow fermentation and a maceration of the must. Finally, Coronas Crianza remains for 9 months in American oak barrels. They combine especially with all kinds of fish rice, grilled red meats, Roasted red meats, Beef, Red meats with sauce, Soft cheeses, White meats. Serve between 15-18°C.

Description and Origin

Familia Torres is a member of the Primum Familiae Vini, an association that integrates twelve of the most prestigious centenary winemaking families in Europe. The Coronas brand, registered in 1907, is the first of the house. We present the latest edition of its Crianza: Coronas Crianza 2019, an assemblage of two noble varieties: tempranillo and cabernet sauvignon. A magnificent red wine hosted by the D.O. Catalunya that rounded off its elaboration with an aging of 12 months in used french and American oak barrels.

Linked to the land for more than three centuries – the first references as winegrowers date back to 1678 -, Familia Torres has historically had wineries and vineyards in the Penedès, where it originates, Conca de Barberà, Priorat and Costers del Segre. Each generation has contributed to the development of the business and has transmitted to the next the passion for the culture of wine and the importance of taking care of the land and seeking excellence.

The fourth generation, with Miguel A. Torres, introduced the cultivation of cabernet sauvignon in Spain, while the fifth generation focuses today on the production of wines from unique vineyards and estates with history and the recovery of ancestral varieties. Familia Torres is also present with its own vineyards and wineries in the main Spanish wine regions -Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda and Rías Baixas-, as well as in Chile and California. Familia Torres owns 1,800 hectares of vineyards in Catalonia, of which 850 are certified organic by the CCPAE.

Tasting notes

Dark cherry color with maroon tones. Intense aromas of black fruits and the forest, with subtle vegetable and spicy notes. Harmonious in the mouth, with medium body and soft tannins.
