Benjamin of red wine Protos Denomination of Origin: Ribera del Duero. Type of Trempanillo grape. Aging: 14 months in American (2/3) and French (1/3) oak and 12 months in bottle.

Service temperature between 15-18ºC.

HISTORY

Bodegas Protos has the privilege of having been the first winery created in La Ribera Del Duero, in 1927 by a group of 11 winegrowers. Just a few years later in the 30s, it was already an internationally recognized winery. Due in large part to the gold medal received for the quality of its wines at the universal exhibition in Barcelona in 1929.

They currently have three wineries, two in the heart of the Ribera del Duero: in Anguix, province of Burgos and the other in Peñafiel, province of Valladolid, where they make their red wines. Their third winery is located in La Seca, Valladolid, heart of the Rueda Denomination of Origin, where they make wines with the Verdejo grape variety.
