Description and Provenance

In the family estate of "Mediona", in the highlands of the Upper Penedés at 650 meters of altitude, this wine is born, made with Merlot grapes. In these lands the best soil and climatic conditions are offered for the development of this noble variety.

The Scarlet Vineyard has a deep cherry color in which the nuances of a certain aging begin to be distinguished.

Its aroma is truly intense and complex.
Initially it evokes notes of prunes and toasted nuts, all surrounded by memories of roasted red peppers. Gradually, as it opens, its complexity grows and penetrating notes of vanilla, cinnamon and a slight balsamic background appear.

Its palate is broad, velvety, unctuous and persistent.
A wine endowed with an abundant and mature tannin that will improve during the next 5 years.

Viña Escarlata is a red wine with Denomination of Origin Penedés. It has a graduation of 13.5 degrees. It is a Reserva with an aging of 12 months in French and American oak barrels, and an average of 2 years in bottle.
