What is BOMBAY SAPPHIRE?

 BOMBAY SAPPHIRE is a brand of gin, distributed by the Bacardi company and launched in 1987. The name, which was chosen in a contest in which the main advertising agencies of the international scene participated, refers to the beginnings of the popularity of gin in India, at the time of British colonization.

The BOMBAY SAPPHIRE is marketed in light blue glass bottles, with flattened sides, in which the different ingredients used to flavor the drink are engraved. On the label is an engraving depicting Queen Victoria of England.

How is BOMBAY SAPPHIRE made?

For the creation of the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE gin, 10 botanicals are used in the distillation, suspended on top of the stills in perforated copper baskets. In this way, when the vapors of hot alcohol are raised, they are carefully infused with all the rich flavors and aromas released by botanicals.

How to prepare a BOMBAY SAPPHIRE gin and tonic?

Prerapar a gin and tonic of BOMBAY SAPPHIRE is very simple. You only need 3 ingredients:

-          50 ml BOMBAY SAPPHIRE

-          100 ml premium tonic

-          A slice of lime.

The steps for its preparation are:

1. Fill the cup to the brim with ice.
2. Stir until completely cooled.
3. Removes excess fluid from the cup.
4. Pour BOMBAY SAPPHIRE through the ice and squeeze the lime (without the white skin) into the drink.
5. Add the lime to the glass after squeezing.
6. Stir the drink to harmonize the contents.
7. Tilt the glass and pour cold tonic on one side. Stir gently once with the bar spoon.
