The story of Ron NEGRITA begins in 1857 when a young liquor maker from Limoges, Paul Bardinet, became interested in the cane sugar alcohol that arrived on the old continent imported from distant islands. Ratafia, as they called it in those days, had no great value for corsairs but under its apparent rudeness it hid great secrets.

At that time Paul Bardinet knew how to appreciate the latent and incomparable flavors and aromas that sugar cane gives us and that would give rise to our exquisite rums.

Having become an expert liquor merchant, Paul Bardinet knew how to build the emblematic brand NEGRITA, today a symbol of the rum tradition throughout the world.
