Whisky aged for a minimum of 10 years in barrels that have previously contained Sherry, sweet wines and wines from the Porto region.
The bottle is shaped like a golf ball, and the lion (Scottish shield) appears with a golf club on its shoulder.
Old St. Andrews Scotch Whisky is stored and matured in oak barrels previously used for sweet wines, Sherry or Porto, which give it a delicious richness and roundness. The premium blend of malt whiskies and carefully selected grains, drinking alone or with water, ice or blenders will appeal to sophisticated whisky lovers everywhere.
History
It is named after the famous golf course on the east coast of Scotland, Old St Andrews Clubhouse. This Blended Scotch Whisky comes in a beautiful golf ball-shaped bottle, perfect for golf and whisky fans.
Old St Andrews Whisky was founded in 1969 by Robert and Julian Haswell with the aim of bringing together the greatest thing Scotland has given the world: whisky and golf. The first bottle came in a two-liter format, mounted on a leather golf cart, which was developed for the Japanese market.
The first golf ball-shaped bottles were produced in 1987 and were originally white in color. And the clubhouse clear glass bottle wasn't produced until 1993, it has since become the company's best-selling product.
This whiskey not only looks good but also tastes great. Renowned whiskey critic Jim Murray has given it a score of 90/100.
