Mini bottle Whisky William Lawsons

William Lawson worked as a whisky merchant in the city ofUndee and in 1849 created his product. During the Second World War the brand went through serious economic problems but at the end of that it recovered, moving its production to the city of Liverpool, whose environment of industrial growth gave it a good push that saved it from total oblivion.

Its exports were growing so, in 1967, the firm invested in a new plant in the city of Coatbridge, where it is located today. That location gave him another help: to relate his business to the firm MARTINI & Rossi. Thus, in 1972, they bought the MacDuff distillery and its production today reaches 20 million bottles per year.

In its most recent times this brand became known globally due to its particular TV commercial in which the national rugby team All Black's participated doing the "haka", before which a team of Pure Scots remained immutable. That one ended with the phrase "William Lawson's. No Rules, Great Scotch."

On its only label, it is a fruity blend, with a very light body and ripened in sherry barrels. It belongs to a standard level but below 6 years of aging.

NOTE 5.5 – Competes with Vat 69,J&B and 100 pipers. The relationship between quality and price is not completely justified. Despite all its great years of tradition, the perfection in the production technique in its flavor is not recognized.
